MARIEVE LUCKLESS

Aftercare
guide

Every skin heals at its own pace. Follow the method that matches the bandage applied at the end of your session. Questions at any stage? Reach out, I'm always happy to help.

Method A

Second Skin

  1. First few hoursA mix of plasma, blood and ink under the bandage is normal. Keep the seal intact: avoid heavy sweating and soaking the area.
  2. Days 1 to 4The fluid is slowly reabsorbed. The tattoo may look cloudy or wrinkled under the film, which is normal. No swimming, baths or hot tubs.
  3. Day 5Remove the bandage under warm running water, stretching it parallel to the skin rather than pulling it away. Gently wash with fragrance-free soap and pat dry.
  4. Days 5 to 14Wash daily and apply a very thin layer of fragrance-free moisturizer as needed. The skin peels like a mild sunburn: don't scratch.

Important: if the bandage leaks, lifts significantly or lets dirt in, remove it right away and follow method B.

Method B

Absorbing pad

  1. First few hoursLeave the dressing on until the next morning. If needed, an anti-inflammatory such as Advil about 4 hours after the session helps reduce swelling (follow the recommended dosage). Stay hydrated and rest.
  2. Days 1 to 3With clean hands, remove the bandage. Rinse with lukewarm water while gently massaging, wash with the provided soap, rinse and pat dry without rubbing. Repeat morning and evening, and more often if the tattoo feels sticky or weeps.
  3. Day 4 and onThe skin starts to peel: don't scratch. Once the tattoo is dry, apply a very thin layer of fragrance-free moisturizer, without overdoing it. Dry healing is also an option: simply keep washing.

The first washes can be a little uncomfortable, especially on sensitive areas. That is normal, and key to clean healing.

Until fully healed

No prolonged sun exposure on the area.
No swimming, baths or hot tubs.
Don't scratch or pick at peeling skin.
