01How do I book?

Books open 3 times a year. Waitlist members get the form first, before it is shared on Instagram.

The more detailed your request (area, idea, references, preferred pace), the better I can tell if we are a good fit. If we are, we book a consultation, by video or in person at the studio, then choose the dates together.

02How many sessions will my project take?

Every project is unique: placement, skin, design complexity and healing all play a role. As a general guide:

  • Full sleeve: 2 to 3 sessions for heavy blackwork, 4 to 5 for more detailed projects
  • Full leg: 2 to 4 sessions for heavy blackwork, 6 to 8 for more detailed projects
  • Full back or front: 4 to 8 sessions
  • Chest or upper back: 2 to 4 sessions
  • 360° neck: 2 to 5 sessions

You get an accurate estimate once I review your request.

03How often are sessions?

I work Tuesday to Friday, in full-day sessions. You choose your pace: one session every 2, 4 or 6 weeks, or 2 to 3 days in a row if you travel from afar or want to move fast.

04Deposit

A $100 deposit is required to book each session. For example, a 5-session project requires a $500 total deposit. It is applied to the final session of the project.

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable: they hold the time set aside for your project.

Your project rate is shared with you directly, once I review your request.

05Preparing for your session
  • Drink plenty of water and eat balanced meals in the days before.
  • Moisturize the area daily with a fragrance-free lotion (such as Aveeno).
  • Sleep well, limit alcohol and avoid recreational drugs.
  • Avoid sun exposure and sunburns on the area.
  • On the day, arrive well rested and after a proper meal.
06What to bring and what to wear?

Bring water, a lunch, snacks and something to pass the time (book, music, tablet, handheld console). You are welcome to bring one guest.

Wear comfortable clothes that give easy access to the area, plus an extra layer if you get cold easily. Ink or stencil can stain, so wear something you don't mind getting marked.

07Payment methods

Cash (in person), Interac e-transfer, debit or credit card. A 2.6% processing fee applies to card payments, so cash and e-transfer are preferred.

08Numbing cream

I generally don't recommend numbing creams applied before the session: they can change the skin's texture, make the stencil harder to apply and affect healing. If pain is a concern, talk to me before your appointment. I also keep a professional numbing spray at the studio that can be used during the session when appropriate.
