ABSORBING PAD HEALING

THE FIRST FEW HOURS

Leave the absorbent dressing in place until the following morning.

If needed, you may take an anti-inflammatory medication such as Advil approximately four hours after your appointment to help reduce or prevent swelling.

Always follow the recommended dosage instructions and ensure the medication is appropriate for you.

Be sure to stay well hydrated and get a good night's rest. A properly hydrated, well-rested body is better equipped to heal efficiently, supporting a smoother recovery and optimal healing of your tattoo.

DAY 1-3

Upon waking the day after your appointment, thoroughly wash your hands before carefully removing the bandage.

Rinse the tattooed area with lukewarm water, gently massaging the skin to loosen any excess plasma, blood, or ink. Using the provided soap (a natural antiseptic cleanser), carefully wash the area, ensuring it is thoroughly cleaned without being abrasive. Rinse well with lukewarm water, then gently pat the tattoo dry with a clean paper towel or freshly laundered towel. Avoid rubbing the area, as this may irritate the skin.

If any ink residue remains visible on the towel after drying, repeat the washing process.

Continue washing the tattoo morning and evening for the first three to four days.

If the tattoo becomes sticky, begins to weep, feels uncomfortable, or accumulates excess residue throughout the day, an additional wash may be necessary.

The first few washes may be slightly uncomfortable, especially on more sensitive areas of the body. Although this is normal, these washes are an essential part of proper aftercare and will help ensure your tattoo heals cleanly and beautifully.

Staying well hydrated and getting adequate rest will also support your body's natural healing process and contribute to optimal results.

Day 4+

Three to five days after your appointment, your tattoo will likely begin to peel, much like a mild sunburn. This is a completely normal part of the healing process.

As tempting as it may be, avoid picking at any flaking skin or scratching the area if it becomes itchy, as doing so can interfere with proper healing and affect the final appearance of your tattoo.

Once the tattoo has fully dried and is no longer releasing any healing fluid, you may begin applying a very thin layer of fragrance-free moisturizer. Be careful not to over-moisturize; a light application is all that's needed. Allow the skin to fully absorb and dry between applications.

Dry healing is also a perfectly acceptable option. If you choose this method, simply continue washing the tattoo as directed and refrain from applying any moisturizer throughout the healing process.
